Streaks and rates answer different questions
A streak measures consecutive days and resets to zero on one miss. A completion rate measures the share of days you hit and barely notices a single miss. Both are useful, and confusing them is where a lot of unnecessary guilt comes from.
Someone at 27 out of 30 days with a miss on day 15 has a broken streak and an excellent month. The rate is telling the truth and the streak is telling a story.
